We are looking for a Senior AIX System Administrator with strong expertise in managing and supporting AIX environments, as well as experience in file transfer operations and scheduling tools.

Your responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain AIX systems – installation, configuration, patching, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Operate and support file transfer processes (CFT/MFT) – monitoring, managing, and resolving issues.
  • Manage and optimize job scheduling tools (VTOM or similar) – configuration, scheduling, and troubleshooting.
  • Handle incidents, changes, and service requests related to AIX systems and associated infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth operations and deployments.
  • Implement patches, upgrades, and security hardening for AIX and related components.
  • Drive automation and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure high availability and continuity of critical systems.

Our requirements

  • Strong expertise in AIX system administration (installation, configuration, performance tuning, troubleshooting).
  • Experience with file transfer technologies (CFT/MFT).
  • Hands-on experience with job scheduling tools (VTOM, Control-M, Autosys).
  • Solid knowledge of Linux and Windows systems (as secondary platforms).
  • Ability to analyze logs, troubleshoot complex issues, and perform root cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes (incident, change, and problem management).
  • Very good English (spoken and written).

Optional

  • Experience with automation tools (Ansible, CI/CD, Terraform).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in French would be a strong asset.
