The Billtrust Senior Accounts Payable Specialist’s primary responsibility is to manage company spend through the requisition-to-pay process, maintain vendor relationships, and support month-end accounting close. This role processes invoices, maintains purchase orders, and manages the accounts payable inbox to ensure timely vendor payments and smooth departmental operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist Management with reviewing company spend and classifications to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist in preparing reports related to accounts payable activities for management review.
  • Prepare weekly payment files and recommendations.
  • Process vendor invoices efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with company policy.
  • Maintain purchase requisitions, including matching requisitions to invoices and resolving discrepancies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounts payable workflows and implement best practices.
  • Train team members and take an active role in process improvement initiatives.
  • Support annual audit as requested or needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prior experience with Coupa, Sage Intacct, or Venminder strongly preferred.
  • Basic accounting principles knowledge.
  • 5+ years of accounts payable experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage vendor relationships professionally.
