For my Client, AniCura Poland, I am currently looking for candidates that are ready to take up a position of:

(Senior) RtR Accountant with German

AniCura, as part of Mars Veterinary Healthcare , is rapidly growing through organic growth and acquisitions across Europe. As an Accountant, you will play a vital role in our accounting department during an exciting phase of growth in Austria and Switzerland.

You will be leading our activities in general accounting, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures, as well as in the financial integration of new clinics and financial transformation projects. You will be coordinating the accounting projects and collaborating with 6 clinics in Austria and 7 in Switzerland.

You will report to the Accounting Lead and be part of the CHAPO (Switzerland, Austria, and Poland) cluster Finance Team.

Job location is Warsaw but we are open to hire a person that is open to work almost fully remotely (1-2 times a month in office is a maximum).

Scope of responsibilities:

• Leading daily accounting and booking of ongoing business transactions
• Leading monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting book closures
• Ensuring that the reconciliations of accounts are accurate and up to date
• Close cooperation with the controlling department in the preparation of periodic financial reports
• Following the AniCura Group Accounting standards and procedures (implement if needed)
• Monitoring local market (Austria and/or Switzerland) accounting GAAPs changes
• Building a strong work relationship with the local operations teams (clinic Heads) – being the first line of support in local accounting cases/questions
• Serving as a primary contact for authorities, internal, and external auditors
• Supporting financial transformation projects and the Finance Department’s development

Requirements:

• Proven experience as GL Accountant or within full accounting (experience in SSC structures is not necessary)
• Experience with the accounting period closing process for the distributed data structures
• Experience in reconciliation of accounts
• Fluency in German language is a must (daily communication with the German-speaking stakeholders), at least strong B2 level
• Communicative level of English (B1-B2)
• Oracle system user skills will be a plus
• MS Office (especially Excel) user skills
• An empathetic personality with teamwork, and communication skills
• Comfort in a high-energy, fast-paced environment with shifting demands and able to effectively prioritize between competing tasks
