To expand the Finance team in our office in Katowice, we are looking for a

Senior Accountant (m/f/d)

Main activities

Within the Accounting area you will supervise key accounting activities, preparing periodic tax returns and monthly and quarterly closings and annual financial statements. The main tasks you will perform are:

• verification and control of accounts receivables and liabilities balances
• fiscal and legal advice on transportation accounting, document management and payments
• preparation of general ledger entries and financial data
• updating and maintainance of general ledger chart of accounts
• maintenance of bad debt provision records and actual bad debt records
• preparation of tax returns in accordance with Polish GAAP
• preparation of reports to the Central Statistical Office and the National Bank of Poland, banks and Group companies

Required profile

• university degree in accounting or finance
• at least 3 years of experience in accounting in medium-sized companies
• high practical knowledge of VAT and CIT regulations
• digital proficiency
• structured and autonomous way of working
• proactive and efficient communication
• strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• good knowledge of the English (knowledge of other foreign language is a plus)
• qualification as Certified Accountant is a clear advantage
