Summary

This role is part of the Regional Controlling organization and is critical in ensuring compliance with US GAAP, statutory and tax requirements in the country in scope. The role requires understanding of accounting matters, quick problem‑solving skills, and strong collaboration with complemented finance and non‑finance teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee day‑to‑day accounting maintained by local accounting firms within various Baxter entities.
  • Run month, quarter and year‑end close processes for entities within scope, managed locally and via shared services.
  • Ensure proper account reconciliations.
  • Ensure US GAAP accounting compliance.
  • Ensure statutory compliance of entities within scope including statutory FS and audit, tax return and other tax submissions.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and work closely with Regional Controllership teams.
  • Ensure adherence of processes to company policies and procedures, internal and external audit requirements and local rules and regulations; support strengthening of financial processes and controls.
  • Support local, regional, and global projects as required.
  • Maintain focus on continuous process improvement.

Required Education and/or Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience.
  • Proven experience in a multinational environment and/or audit.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, diplomatic, flexible and “can‑do” mindset.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Strong reporting tools including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Good knowledge of US GAAP (nice to have).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or part‑qualified ACCA/CIMA.
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally as required.
  • Experience in JDE, Blackline and W‑Desk is an advantage.
  • Additional hours at critical times (e.g., month‑end) may be required; occasional work on public holidays.

At Baxter, we commit to equitable pay for all employees and strive to be transparent with pay practices. The minimum salary for this position is 168 000 PLN annually. Your initial pay could be at the minimum or higher based on skills, expertise, experience and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for competitive benefits, discretionary bonuses, and/or long‑term incentive.
