Segment Buyer Electronics – Autoliv
Autoliv’s primary goal is to Save More Lives. This role is part of our procurement team focused on electronic components for vehicle safety systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for electronic components to ensure supply continuity, cost optimization and competitiveness.
- Align and drive internal stakeholders (R&D, SQM, SCM, Supply Chain, Sales) on strategy definition.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage a global supplier network. Lead negotiations on pricing, contracts, and terms.
- Monitor and mitigate supplier risks, including geopolitical, financial and supply chain resilience.
- Drive long‑term deals supporting divisional year‑over‑year price reduction and strategic global agreements.
- Monitor market trends, component availability and pricing to anticipate risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with engineering, R&D, quality and production to align purchasing strategies.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives via value analysis, supplier consolidation and alternative sourcing.
- Develop contingency plans and manage supply chain risks.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards and regulatory requirements; maintain procurement records.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, business administration or related field.
- 3–5 years of strategic purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in electronics or manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of electronic components (semiconductors, PCBs, connectors, microcontrollers, passive and semi‑active components).
- Proven negotiation and contract management skills.
- Experience supporting global strategy and cross‑functional teams.
- Experience deploying distribution agreements with key e‑component distributors.
- Excellent analytical, communication and project management skills.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
