Scrum Master & Continuous Improvement Lead

HSBC Service Delivery (Polska) Sp. z o.o. is HSBCs global finance, operations, risk and technology centre. We use our unique expertise and capabilities to provide specialised services - our people range from technologists transforming the banking experience to operations professionals managing 1.7 trillion payments a year.

Our Purpose - Opening up a world of opportunity - explains why we exist. We are bringing together the people, ideas and capital that nurture progress and growth, helping to create a better world - for our customers, our people, our investors, our communities and the planet we all share.

We’re looking for a driven and collaborative Scrum Master & Continuous Improvement Lead to join our Technology organization. In this hybrid role, you’ll combine the principles of Agile delivery, Lean Six Sigma, and process optimization to help our IT pods operate at their best. You’ll guide teams through agile ceremonies, coach them to deliver value efficiently, and continuously improve our technology delivery processes using data‑driven insights.

This is a hands‑on role for someone passionate about both team agility and process excellence—someone who thrives on helping teams deliver smarter, faster, and more effectively.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Serve as Scrum Master for one or more technology pods, facilitating daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Coach teams and stakeholders on Agile principles to promote collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Remove blockers and optimize delivery flow to enhance team velocity and predictability.
  • Work closely with Product Owners and Technical Leads to maintain clear priorities and align delivery with business goals. Analyze end‑to‑end IT delivery processes—from demand intake to deployment—to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
  • Apply Lean Six Sigma (DMAIC), Value Stream Mapping, and root cause analysis to drive measurable process enhancements.
  • Define and track key performance metrics (cycle time, throughput, defect rates) to support data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering and Operations pods to streamline workflows, enhance automation, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Lead and facilitate continuous improvement workshops (Kaizen events) to embed a culture of learning and innovation across teams.
  • Act as a change agent, promoting a mindset of continuous improvement within technology teams and the wider organization. Build strong relationships across Product, Engineering, and Operations to drive sustainable process change. Coach and mentor individuals and teams on agile and Lean practices, helping them mature in both agility and process thinking.

You’re a great candidate if you have these:

  • Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and software delivery lifecycles. Demonstrated experience applying Lean Six Sigma methods in technology or digital environments.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into action.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to balance agile flexibility with process discipline and structure.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Power BI.
  • Experience with DevOps, Agile scaling frameworks (e.g., SAFe), or process automation is an advantage.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM, or equivalent). Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • 5+ years of experience in Agile delivery and process improvement roles, ideally within a technology or IT environment.

What you’ll get with us:

  • Annual performance‑based bonus
  • Additional bonuses for recognition awards
  • Multisport card
  • Private medical care
  • Life insurance
  • One‑time reimbursement of home office set‑up (up to 800 PLN)
  • Corporate parties & events
  • CSR initiatives
  • Nursery discounts
  • Financial support with trainings and education
  • Social fund
  • Free parking

You’ll achieve more when you join HSBC.

If your CV meets our criteria, you should expect the following steps in the recruitment process:

  • Online behavioural test
  • Telephone screen
