Job Overview

The partnership launched a new payments business, ClearAccept, to deliver this service, by assembling a highly accomplished team with a track record of successfully launching new payments technology. Our innovative payments platform is built using a cloud native microservice architecture running on AWS using serverless infrastructure (AWS ECS + Fargate). We store all our code in GIT and use Git flow as our branching strategy. Our CI/CD process is managed by our DevOps team using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and all our services are covered by automation tests using BDD. 

We currently use a hybrid Scrum and Kanban approach across our multiple, distributed, software development teams. As we continue to enhance the platform and accelerate delivery, we require a Service Delivery Manager to support our development teams with delivering value and help to evolve our development process and drive continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

The SM/KDM is responsible for taking ownership of the day to day tasks and overseeing the flow of work within teams and ensuring a smooth flow of delivery.

• Ensure teams are punctual and successful in delivering value.
• Coordinate and conduct daily stand-ups and other regular ceremonies.
• Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration.
• Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests.
• Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles.
• Coordinate the Development and DevOps teams in the release process.
• Monitor the Kanban board to ensure that work items are correctly updated, and progress appropriately.
• Initiate regular and continuous improvement activities across the organization.
• Proactively identify any risks and work disruptions and take steps to manage and mitigate them.
• Work with the team to ensure they follow lean/agile principles and continuously improve processes and practices.

 Required Skills & Experience:

• Prior experience (minimum 3 years) of managing software development teams using Scrum and/or Kanban, and a strong understanding of relevant principles and practices.
• Self-organised and able to deliver projects within tight deadlines.
• A technical background, with the ability to delegate and engage with developers and Head of Delivery on a professional level.
• Detailed understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Can track workflow metrics and transform the insights into actionable knowledge.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Relevant Lean/Agile Certification.
• Fintech / Payments exposure.
• Experience within the Microsoft stack.
