About the job

The Managed Services team is looking for a Cloud Platform Administrator to install, configure, maintain, support, and service customer SAS cloud systems & environments hosted by SAS or deployed on the customer’s premises.

You will be coming into a new and biggest growth area in SAS global. You will have the chance to help shape how we work in the region while working for a variety of customers day-to-day.

As a SAS Cloud Platform Administrator, you will:

1. Deliver excellent customer service using a customer-first and continuous improvement mindset.
2. Provide hands-on administration, maintenance, and installation of SAS Enterprise software and solutions.
3. Provide support for global PSD/Partner delivered batch jobs and automations.
4. Manage day-to-day work through SAS Cloud ticketing systems using CIS best practices for ticket update quality and frequency.
5. Use IT Service Management best practices for change, incident, and problem management to meet and support Service Level Agreement requirements for SAS Cloud customers.
6. Create and maintain service documentation including runbooks, knowledge base articles, and wiki content.
7. Configure, manage, monitor, and debug mid-tier software.
8. Manage, monitor, and maintain container-based applications deployed in cloud container services.
9. Develop tools and software to manage SAS and third-party software.
10. Diagnose, document, report, and resolve system problems.
11. Work directly with external customers and interface with other support teams and vendors.
12. Participate in a 24x7x365 on-call rotation.

Additional Responsibilities

1. Provides total support for software systems.
2. Analyzes the data processing needs of users and operation personnel; proposes, designs, and implements hardware and software changes or programs to satisfy those needs.

Required Qualifications

1. 5+ years of experience in writing programs in more than one language required.
2. Two years of experience in end-user and system administrator consulting or providing other first-level consulting required.
3. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative field.
4. Right to work in Poland.
5. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Knowledge of programming languages, operating systems, utilities, services, and editors for assigned area.
2. Career level of technical knowledge of the internal workings, diagnostic tools, and features of systems.
3. Aptitude for visualization of solutions for problems based on available documentation or runbooks.
4. Ability to script or write software programs that acknowledge the peculiarities of the underlying machine architecture.
5. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
6. Ability to work well with others and to problem-solve.
7. Ability to independently learn how to use new facilities quickly from supplied documentation.
8. Understands the interdependencies between multiple systems and software within a computing infrastructure.
9. Understanding of system architectures and infrastructures.
