We are seeking a dedicated SAP Service Engineer (1st Level Support) with proficiency in German to join our functional operations management team. This role involves providing first-level support within a collaborative three-person project team, ensuring responsive and effective assistance for user inquiries and system issues related to SAP maintenance systems.
responsibilities :
Deliver support to customers and system users, both functional and technical, within the S/4HANA environment and SAP Business Technology Platform applications, including Workzone and mobile apps.
Diagnose and resolve reported issues by conducting preliminary analyses and identifying reproduction steps.
Communicate functionally with users concerning system functionality, roadmaps, and maintenance schedules.
Create reports and analyses to identify trends and contribute to the enhancement of applications and systems.
Provide guidance and instructions to customers and users on effective application and system usage as needed.
Manage and verify various system interfaces in coordination with external interface partners.
Document issues and corresponding solutions comprehensively.
Collaborate closely with the project team to expedite problem resolution and support ongoing development processes.
Coordinate with colleagues in functional and technical operations management, including SAP Basis teams, to ensure seamless system operations.
requirements-expected :
Minimum of three years’ experience in the design and implementation of SAP authorizations (e.g., XAMS).
Strong module knowledge from an end-user or key-user perspective in areas such as Plant Maintenance (PM), Materials Management (MM), and Human Capital Management (HCM), including typical process chains like maintenance planning, orders, and dispatching MRS.
Proven expertise in SAP First Level Support within productive environments, including hotline and email support.
Competence in qualified incident and request handling—prioritization, classification, escalation, and forwarding—accompanied by complete error logs and reproduction steps.
Fluency in German is required.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA and Fiori Launchpad operations, including technical configuration and error diagnosis.
System understanding that enables effective diagnosis and reproduction of errors within the S/4 system.
Proficiency in ticketing and IT Service Management (ITSM) systems such as ServiceNow or JIRA, knowledge management databases, and standard MS Office tools.
