SAP Quote to Cash Business Systems Lead role at Baxter International Inc.

The SAP Order to Cash consultant within the (HST) Healthcare Systems and Technologies segment acts as the functional and technology lead for the SAP Quote to Cash domain, delivering the functional capabilities required by the business. This role provides strategic leadership and consultation to create and sustain optimal processes in Quote to Cash and integrated processes. It also involves challenging existing practices by leveraging experience, business partner feedback, and external service providers. Quote to Cash is a critical enabler within the HST segment, considering the complexities of distribution channels, sales networks worldwide, and a multi-ERP landscape.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the business and IT teams to differentiate business requirements and map them to an integrated set of solutions to meet business needs.
• Develop and design solutions across the Quote-to-Cash process landscape, leveraging internal teams and external service providers, and strive for commonality in processes where differentiation adds limited value.
• Understand and manage integration points of Quote-to-Cash with adjacent areas such as commercial, customer service, warehouse execution, transportation, and finance.
• Proactively consult with business partners on opportunities to create value; review business cases and provide IT perspective to meet objectives.
• Own the quote-to-cash technology strategy for enabling critical capabilities across the global segment; collaborate with IT functions to ensure cohesive IT changes.
• Understand HST go-to-market strategies and how differentiators translate into quote-to-cash capabilities.
• Drive curiosity across the ERP team about market technology offerings and healthcare landscape changes; act as an influencer to business counterparts on enabling technologies within Quote to Cash.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in order-to-cash, with at least 5 years in life sciences or healthcare, and SAP as the foundation technology.
• 8+ years in a leadership role for quote-to-cash and related teams.
• Experience leading complex global implementations.
• Hands-on SAP ECC and preferably S/4HANA functional modules (SD, LE) and integration with MM, FI, CRM, etc.
• Experience in Make-to-stock and Make-to-order, including SAP variant configuration, sales quotation, and pricing, and logistics execution.
• Experience with ancillary products and integrations enabling order-to-cash (e.g., BRIM, Vistex/Model N, SAP EWM, CRM, 3PLs, Transportation, Trade Compliance).
• Comfortable operating across a matrixed IT and business organization to deliver outcomes.
• Strong business process knowledge with functional depth; significant partnership experience with large technology system integrators.
• Curiosity about healthcare trends, including e-commerce, direct-to-consumer, telehealth, and subscription-based models.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting to executive leadership.
• Experience with agile project delivery methodology.
