SAP HCM Consultant – German Payroll (PY-DE) | 4-Month Contract | Hybrid (Warsaw, Poland)

Overview
We are looking for an experienced SAP HCM Consultant with strong expertise in SAP HCM Payroll for Germany (PY-DE) to support a hybrid assignment based in Warsaw. The consultant will take ownership of payroll configuration, statutory compliance, and project delivery support across the full implementation lifecycle, including testing, go-live, and post-go-live support.
Key Responsibilities
- System Configuration & Implementation: Design, configure and implement SAP HCM German Payroll (PY-DE) including schemas, PCRs (Payroll Calculation Rules), wage types, and payroll control records.
- Statutory Compliance: Ensure payroll solutions remain compliant with the latest German tax, social insurance and labour law requirements.
- Project Lifecycle Delivery: Support full-cycle implementation projects including:
- blueprinting and fit-gap analysis
- unit testing / SIT / UAT
- go-live and hypercare support
- documentation and knowledge transfer
- Module Integration: Work across and understand integration points between Payroll and:
- Organisational Management (OM)
- Time Management / Time Evaluation (PT/TE)
- Troubleshooting & Support: Provide 2nd/3rd line support, identify root causes, and resolve complex payroll and time evaluation issues.
- Functional Specifications: Produce clear functional specs and collaborate with ABAP developers on enhancements, custom reports, and integrations with external vendors/partners.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyse processes and recommend optimisations to improve efficiency across HR/payroll operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years SAP HCM Consulting experience
- Minimum 2+ years hands‑on experience focused on SAP German Payroll (PY-DE) configuration and support
- payroll customizing and payroll run processes
- PCRs and payroll troubleshooting
- Time Management / Time Evaluation (PT/TE) experience is highly desirable
- Proven experience supporting end‑to‑end project delivery (implementation / rollout / support)
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work in an international environment
- Ability to work hybrid in Warsaw during the contract duration
