About the project

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DRC (Direct and Indirect Tax) / Tax Consultant to join our team for a greenfield implementation of SAP S/4HANA. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of tax regulations, compliance, and SAP S/4HANA functionalities, particularly in the context of tax management. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, configure, and implement tax solutions that align with business requirements and regulatory standards.

Your responsibilities

  • Tax Strategy Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement tax strategies that align with business objectives and comply with local and international tax regulations
  • SAP S/4HANA Configuration: Lead the configuration of SAP S/4HANA tax modules, ensuring accurate setup for direct and indirect tax calculations, reporting, and compliance
  • Requirements Gathering: Work closely with finance teams to gather and analyze tax-related requirements for the SAP S/4HANA implementation
  • Process Design: Design and document tax processes and workflows within the SAP S/4HANA environment, ensuring efficiency and compliance
  • Testing and Validation: Develop and execute test plans to validate tax configurations and ensure accurate tax calculations and reporting
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on tax processes and SAP S/4HANA functionalities, ensuring a smooth transition to the new system
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and ensure that the SAP S/4HANA system is compliant with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, and external auditors, to ensure successful implementation and integration of tax solutions

Our requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in tax consulting, with a focus on direct and indirect taxes in a corporate environment
  • SAP Expertise: Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA, particularly in tax modules (e.g., SAP Tax Management, SAP S/4HANA Finance)
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of local and international tax regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations and apply them to business processes
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate tax concepts to non-tax professionals
  • Project Management: Experience in managing projects, with a proven track record of delivering results on time and within budget

Optional

  • Experience in greenfield SAP S/4HANA implementations
  • Familiarity with tax automation tools and technologies
  • Knowledge of data migration strategies and tools for tax data
