We are working on the development of a complex eCommerce platform based on SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) for one of the largest European manufacturers of home heating and cooling devices. The platform is being implemented across dozens of countries worldwide. This is a development-focused role – not maintenance – offering the opportunity to contribute to a highly scalable, global eCommerce solution.
As an SAP Commerce Backend Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain backend solutions that ensure scalability, performance, and seamless integration with external systems. You will collaborate within small international teams to deliver high-quality features and contribute to the overall success of the platform.
About the Team
You’ll join one of three small backend teams (2–3 backend developers per team), working alongside a frontend developer, QA specialist, and guided by a solution architect. The project is managed directly by the client and conducted entirely in English within a diverse international environment.
responsibilities :
Develop, customize, and maintain backend functionalities in SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris).Implement and enhance integrations with external systems (e.g., SAP ERP, payment gateways, logistics, third-party services) using OCC, REST, and SOAP APIs.
Work on critical modules: Product Information Management, Cart & Checkout, Order Management, Customer Management, and B2B/B2C Accelerators.
Create custom extensions and configure modules based on business needs.
Collaborate with frontend developers, business analysts, and QA teams for end-to-end delivery.
Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and best practices.
Manage customer data processes, including data cleansing, migration, and enrichment.
Contribute to Sprint Demos, Key User Training, UAT support, and Post Go-Live Hypercare.
requirements-expected :
3–5 years of experience as an SAP Commerce Developer.
Strong expertise in SAP Commerce Cloud and its key modules.
Hands-on experience with REST APIs, OCC, and integration patterns.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments.
Strong problem-solving mindset and proactive approach.
Excellent English communication skills (international team environment).
