In this role, you will support our insurance client in implementing DevOps practices as part of their Salesforce Transformation programme. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to streamline and automate the deployment process, ensuring continuous integration and delivery within the new Salesforce ecosystem.

Our initial focus is on assessing their current CI/CD setup leveraging Microsoft Azure DevOps and considering use of alternatives such as Copado and Gearset, enhancing the clients Salesforce operational capabilities. These efforts aim to improve deployment efficiency, ensure high-quality releases, and enable transformative changes.

Salesforce DevOps Engineer

Your responsibilities

• Collaborate with client and team members to design and implement DevOps strategies tailored to the Salesforce transformation programme.
• Lead the evaluation of current Microsoft ADO functionality and alternative tools to establish seamless integration and functionality.
• Own and manage Salesforce-specific DevOps processes and tools to facilitate efficient and effective deployments.
• Ensure Salesforce configuration management, automated testing, and delivery pipelines are optimized for high performance.
• Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and efficacy within the deployment process.
• Recommend new features and improvements within the selected toolset to optimize insurer platforms over time.
• Ensure quality and timeliness of build deliverables through systematic automation and DevOps practices.
• Provide technical specifications and maintain documentation aligned to insurance solution design standards.
• Promote best practices and adherence to DevOps processes.
• Work closely with architects, consultants, developers and client CoE team to align DevOps processes with delivery.

Our requirements

• Proven experience in implementing DevOps practices in Salesforce environments, particularly within insurance or financial services sectors.
• Advanced understanding of Salesforce (Core Platform and Industries) configuration, data and continuous integration processes.
• Strong ability to transition and implement DevOps tools like Copado and Gearset from Microsoft ADO.
• Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Expertise in automated testing frameworks within Salesforce.
• Understanding of enterprise architecture and integration patterns.
