We are seeking a Technical Architect to lead the design, architecture, and implementation of E-Commerce Solution for a leading manufacturer. The role requires deep expertise in Salesforce Commerce Cloud, server-side technologies, microservices architecture, APIs, databases, and cloud-native solutions
You will be responsible for translating the solution design into detailed technical designs using a wide range of technologies from Salesforce Commerce Cloud, through to client-specific cloud solutions and event architecture. You’ll develop relationships with key client-side stakeholder’s while also working closely with our internal delivery teams to ensure your architecture vision is realised
This is not a role for someone who doesnt also love development. Whilst we have a team of engineers, you should be from a hands-on development background yet still hold the ability to read and peer-review the code of others. You need to be a great communicator: the role will include direct interaction with our clients, who include both technical and non-technical colleagues.

Lead architectural decisions with significant organisational impact
Resolve complex technical challenges requiring specialist expertise
Drive technical debt remediation strategies
Create automated delivery pipelines across platforms
Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems for enterprise applications
Ensure your architecture vision is realised by our delivery teams, across all phases of programme delivery
Make and justify key architectural decisions considering all relevant constraints
Follow the principles and guidance set out by the Solution Architecture team

Expert understanding of Salesforce Commerce Cloud
Strong knowledge of application, integration, data, and infrastructure architecture
Advanced understanding of cloud platforms and serverless architectures
Proficiency in distributed systems design and microservices patterns
Experience with multiple technology stacks and integration patterns
Strong understanding of NFRs and performance optimisation
Expertise in CI/CD implementation and environment strategies
Ability to manage technical debt and quality assurance
Strong grasp of enterprise integration patterns and distributed transactions
Expertise in technical risk management and mitigation strategies
Proven experience of designing and delivering an eCommerce solution with Salesforce Commerce Cloud
Deep understanding of engineering practices and technical excellence
Be client and delivery focussed, able to adapt a solution to meet additional requirements and constraints and apply pragmatism when required
Prior experience running design workshops
Strong stakeholder management skills
Have excellent communication, presentation and documentation skills
