Sales Operations Specialist – nVent

Overview
The sales operations specialist collects and reports data related to the sales team as part of ongoing efforts to increase overall efficiency. They also perform routine diagnostic analyses to identify opportunities for improving existing processes and practices.
Responsibilities
- Sales Support in Planning and Performance Settlement
- Collaborate with sales managers to develop sales plans at individual, team, and regional levels.
- Support the target-setting process and track progress toward sales objectives.
- Sales Performance Settlement
- Perform monthly and quarterly analysis of sales performance against targets at individual and regional levels.
- Prepare summaries and reports detailing the performance of sales representatives and regional teams.
- Verify data accuracy (e.g., EID consistency with Workday) and ensure the integrity of information submitted to HR.
- Sales Data Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare ad hoc reports for the sales team, leadership, and other supporting departments.
- Identify variances, trends, and potential data issues to support decision‑making.
- Data Quality and Documentation Management
- Maintain accuracy and up‑to‑date information across internal systems and files.
- Ensure proper documentation and archiving of all settlement‑related files according to internal procedures.
- Cross‑Functional Communication and Collaboration
- Maintain regular communication with sales managers.
- Ensure timely flow of information and documentation related to sales planning and settlements.
Qualifications
- Ability to interpret complex data sets and draw actionable insights to support sales strategy.
- Skills in designing, optimizing, and managing sales territories using data‑driven approaches.
- Understanding of go‑to‑market strategies, sales motions and the financial impact of planning decisions.
- Identifying opportunities to streamline planning processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Responsible for operating, maintaining, and further developing the dedicated tool, adapting it to evolving business needs.
