Position Overview:
The Sales Manager will lead the industrial refrigeration and applied HVAC sales efforts, focusing on developing market share, managing a high-performing sales team, and driving sustainable growth. This individual will be responsible for establishing strategic relationships with key clients, increasing market penetration, and working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow Johnson Controls industrial refrigeration and applied HVAC equipment market share
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets, focusing on business growth and customer satisfaction.
- Foster a collaborative team environment that drives high performance and accountability.
- Market Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including expanding into untapped markets and strengthening the existing customer base.
- Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and potential challenges impacting the HVAC and refrigeration sectors.
- Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to design sales strategies and promotional initiatives aligned with business goals.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding and anticipating customer needs.
- Partner with key stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and align with Johnson Controls values and commitment to sustainability.
- Sales Operations & Reporting:
- Oversee sales operations, including forecasting, budgeting, and reporting to ensure alignment with revenue targets.
- Monitor sales performance metrics and adjust strategies as necessary to meet goals.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and regular sales updates to senior management.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with product management, engineering, and service teams to deliver comprehensive and competitive solutions.
- Participate in cross-regional projects and best practice sharing to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- 5+ years of experience in sales within industrial refrigeration, applied HVAC, or related fields.
- Proven track record in sales team leadership, market development, and achieving revenue growth in a competitive environment.
- Strong understanding of HVAC and refrigeration systems, applications, and trends.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in English
