About the Role
Position: Sales Ledger Accountant
The Sales Ledger Clerk is responsible for ensuring all incoming payments are correctly allocated to customer invoices and for processing very high volumes of payments for EMEA.
Typical tasks
- Check payments that need allocating and paying.
- Reconcile payments to BACS.
- Record the batches posted.
- Run the unmatched cash report.
- Chase customers for remittance advice.
- Forward credits (and debits).
- Review outstanding debits.
- Escalate issues to the Sales Ledger Team Leader.
Expertise required
- High level of attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Understanding of account processes.
- Advanced English skills; knowledge of any additional language is a plus.
- Accurate data entry skills.
- Basic knowledge of Oracle system is an advantage.
