Ngage Consulting is a specialist recruitment and business consultancy catering exclusively to the veterinary, animal health and agri‑business markets. We are recruiting on behalf of our client – a leading supplier of super premium veterinary products in Poland.

Purpose of the Role

To lead and inspire our clients commercial organisation, driving sustainable sales growth, market expansion, and commercial excellence across the company’s range of super premium veterinary products.

Sales Director shapes strategy, builds high‑performing teams, and ensures that communication, collaboration, and reporting across the business enable informed decision‑making and consistent execution.

This role is pivotal in bridging strategic direction with market execution, combining strong presence at our clients head office in Poznan with active field engagement to maintain commercial agility and customer focus.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute the national sales strategy aligned with the CEO and the Group Leadership Team.
  • Translate business goals into actionable sales plans that drive profitable growth.
  • Ensure strategic clarity and alignment across all business units through consistent communication and structured reporting.

2. Commercial Performance

  • Deliver revenue, margin, and market share targets across all product areas.
  • Monitor and analyse key commercial metrics, ensuring data‑driven decisions and timely corrective actions.
  • Lead a disciplined management reporting process, providing accurate and insightful monthly and quarterly performance updates to the CEO.

3. Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop the companys Sales Managers and Area Sales Managers, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Build a culture of open, constructive communication where expectations, priorities, and feedback are clear and consistent.
  • Ensure the right structure, capability, and motivation exist to achieve current and future business goals.

4. Customer and Market Focus

  • Strengthen relationships with key accounts, partners, and opinion leaders in the veterinary sector.
  • Champion customer experience and ensure sales teams deliver consistently high service standards.
  • Drive the use of customer insights and market data to inform portfolio and promotional decisions.

5. Collaboration, Communication, and Influence

  • Partner closely with Marketing, R&D, and Operations to ensure commercial alignment and effective information flow across departments.
  • Communicate business performance, priorities, and initiatives clearly across all levels of the organisation.
  • Represent the company at key industry events, conferences, and trade shows, both domestically and internationally.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of commercial experience, including leadership of national sales teams in the veterinary, animal health, pharmaceutical, or related industries.
  • Proven success in designing and delivering sales strategies, business plans, and management reporting frameworks.
  • Strong commercial acumen with an analytical and data‑driven approach.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills at all organisational levels.
  • Fluent in English and Polish; additional languages are an advantage.
