About the role
Reporting to the Sales Manager CIS & Baltics, the Sales Development Manager CIS & Baltics (SDM) will develop and grow Hach’s presence in the assigned territory, manage all commercial activities, and ensure optimal service with Channel Partners. The position is fully remote, requiring up to 60% travel in the region and is ideally based in Poland or Romania.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical and sales training and support to Channel Partners to deliver their annual goal.
- Participate in site visits, trade shows, demos, and seminars.
- Deliver on financial targets and KPIs through forecasting and funnel reviews.
- Introduce and maintain high discipline in pipeline and opportunity management.
- Ensure accurate and up‑to‑date information entered into Salesforce.com.
- Develop new business opportunities with key accounts/EPCs and indirect channels.
- Engage authorities, engineering firms, and influencers to strengthen market presence.
- Track competitor activities and adjust strategies to maintain advantages.
- Create an energized and positive environment for the Sales team (Channel Partners).
- Work closely with product management, marketing, and other functions to drive performance and develop skills.
Requirements
- Engineering or Chemical background (chemistry, process, environmental, measuring or control technology).
- Very good understanding of the water market in CIS & Baltics (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania).
- More than 5 years of experience in the water process market, water treatments, and water technologies (water analysis, wastewater technology, drinking water, surface water, …).
- Proven business acumen for the municipal & industrial market.
- Proficiency in CRM tools for funnel management and forecasting (ideally Salesforce) and daily use of MS Office & IT tools.
- Excellent communication, strong relationship‑building and presentation skills in a multicultural environment.
- Self‑motivated, customer‑focused, and problem‑solving mindset.
- Willingness to travel (~60%) within the CIS and Baltics region.
- Rigorous, organized and methodical in monitoring files, managing activities both in the field and remotely, while adhering to the Group’s compliance rules.
- Fluent in English and Russian.
