Safety and Health Occupational Support Services Specialist

Position: Safety and Health Occupational Support Services Specialist

Applicants must currently reside in Poland and have authorization to work.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Safety and Health Occupational Support Services Specialist to join our team in Poznań. This position provides expert support in workplace safety and health programs, ensuring full compliance with Polish and EU regulations.

The specialist will conduct conformity assessments for CE marking, coordinate certification processes, and promote best practices in occupational safety. The role also includes preparing technical documentation, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and participating in training, conferences, and seminars both in Poland and abroad.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of occupational health and safety standards.
  • Conduct and assist with CE conformity assessments in accordance with EU directives (2016/425, 2000/14/EC, 2006/42/EC).
  • Coordinate certification of personal protective and working equipment.
  • Prepare and manage safety documentation and reports.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, contractors, and public stakeholders.
  • Participate in professional development, training programs, and international conferences.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Certificate from Centralny Instytut Ochrony Pracy – Państwowy Instytut Badawczy (CIOP-PIB) in PN-EN ISO/IEC 17024:2012, Certification of Persons’ Competence in Occupational Safety and Health (required).
  • Bachelor’s degree from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in workplace safety or occupational health.
  • Languages: Effective communication in Polish and English (oral, written, and comprehension).
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), Internet Explorer, and Adobe Reader.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work professionally with individuals, diverse groups, and the public.
  • Willingness to travel for conferences and seminars, including occasional weekend travel.

Additional Certification (to be completed within 12 months of hire)

  • Conformity Assessment for CE Marking – EU Directives 2016/425, 2000/14/EC, 2006/42/EC (CIOP-PIB).
  • Certification of Personal Protective and Working Equipment – Centre for Certification of Personal Protective and Working Equipment (CIOP-PIB).
