About the project

As a S/4HANA Transformation Director, you will lead strategic transformation programs and play a pivotal role in shaping Capgemini’s SAP consulting capabilities. In addition to overseeing large-scale S/4HANA initiatives, you will be responsible for establishing and growing a consulting division focused on SAP implementation- building a high-performing team of consultants and delivery experts.

Simply put, you will be both a transformation leader and a practice builder, combining delivery excellence with strategic talent development.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead and manage end-to-end S/4HANA transformation programs, including greenfield implementations and post-go-live services.
  • Define and execute transformation roadmaps aligned with client business goals and technology architecture.
  • Act as the executive point of contact for clients, fostering trusted relationships and strategic alignment.
  • Build and scale a consulting division focused on SAP implementation (SD/MM/WM/PM/PP/FI/CO), including recruitment, onboarding, and capability development.
  • Drive innovation and sustainability, embedding modern delivery practices and emerging technologies (e.g., GenAI) into transformation programs.
  • Ensure financial accountability across programs and the consulting practice, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Monitor and improve service KPIs, applying a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Lead multinational, distributed teams, fostering collaboration across geographies and functions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal governance.
  • Provide strategic guidance to clients, supporting change management and organizational readiness.

Our requirements

  • Master’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in SAP program leadership, including S/4HANA transformation and implementation.
  • Experience in building and leading consulting teams, including talent development and mentoring.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to engage senior business and IT stakeholders and influence strategic decisions.
  • Deep understanding of agile delivery models, including scaled frameworks (e.g., SAFe).
  • Demonstrated experience in financial governance and managing large program budgets.
  • Expertise in GenAI applications in enterprise software and service delivery.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in dynamic environments with complex stakeholder landscapes.

  • Project Management Certifications (PMP, Prince2).
  • Agile and Scaled Agile Certifications (PSM, SAFe).
  • ITIL or other Service Delivery Certifications.
  • German language skills.
