As a freelance Cloud / Platform Operations Engineer , you can be involved in assignments as an expert advisor, as part of an emagine delivery team, or as a trusted consultant embedded within one of our client organizations. Benefits of joining our consultant database: Access to a wide range of international projects where you can operate and scale real-world production platforms Assignments aligned with your technical expertise and operational strengths Opportunities to expand your cloud and platform portfolio and advance your consulting career Main Responsibilities: Operate, scale, and secure AWS-based production platforms Support containerized workloads running on ECS Fargate Manage and operate large-scale or scheduled workloads using AWS Batch Ensure secure access management using IAM (roles, policies, permission boundaries, cross-account access) Operate and support Windows Server environments at scale Manage Active Directory and its integration with AWS Directory Services Participate in on-call rotations, incident handling, and root cause analysis Collaborate closely with application, data, and infrastructure teams Key Requirements: Strong general AWS knowledge , including networking, security, monitoring, and cost awareness Hands-on experience with ECS Fargate and AWS Batch Solid understanding of IAM concepts and best practices Operational experience with Windows Server environments Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory Experience supporting production systems and handling incidents Strong English communication skills Related Technologies / Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with data and ETL platforms in AWS (Athena, Glue, data lakes) Experience working with relational databases (SQL, preferably MSSQL) Experience with Python or scripting for automation and operational tooling Nice to Have: Experience with event-driven or streaming architectures (Kafka, Flink) Exposure to non-relational or column-oriented datastores
