Risk Analyst

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the controls to safeguard the newly SA CVA process implementation to improve risk visibility.
  • Ensure efficiency and accuracy of SA CVA reporting for risk managers and the Front Office.
  • Perform SA CVA capital analysis to assist with risk management and decision making.
  • Identify and escalate issues to Risk Management through review of risk data, controls and reporting.
  • Act as a business partner to Risk Managers to ensure timely delivery of accurate, complete and relevant data.
  • Offer experience with building a new process, controls, and documentation to meet regulatory needs.
  • Support the implementation of risk systems at the regional level across a project’s lifecycle (requirement, development and testing).
  • Coordinate with Business, Risk Modelers and IT departments on handling data gaps/issues.
  • Assist with the UAT process by creating test cases in Zephyr and uploading respective artifacts.
  • Perform testing and detailed analysis for the newly implemented SA CVA capital calculation. Presents analysis and findings in a clear manner.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including Risk Managers, Front Office, Middle Office, Product Control, etc.

Skills Required

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in banking e.g. Risk, Product Control, Front Office, Middle Office.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial markets including cash and derivative instruments across asset classes, their lifecycle and valuation techniques.
  • Understanding of SA CVA rules and ongoing regulatory requirements.
  • Good understanding of key risk factors for different asset types, risk sensitivities and how they are measured as well as risk management techniques.
  • Desirable previous hands‑on exposure in process streamlining while facing multiple stakeholders across the globe.
  • Preferably international financial/risk accreditation e.g. CFA, FRM, PRM.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office is a must.
  • Desirable coding skills in VBA, Python or SQL.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (with English both written and oral at B2 level or higher).
