The Senior Compliance Analyst shall support the Compliance Officer in conducting risk management on key legal and regulatory requirements, based on legal provisions of the DELEGATED REGULATION (EU) No 231/2013, the KAGB (German Investment Code) and the KAMaRisk (Minimum Requirements on Risk Management of Investment Management Companies; BaFin).
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- Support the Compliance Officer of Universal-Investment in maintaining the regulatory inventory in the Legal Regulatory Compliance Process, thereby monitoring the regulatory environment and ensuring the correct implementation and ownership of key legal and regulatory requirements.
- Support the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the cross-divisional Compliance Risk Analysis.
- Preparation and delivery of training to stakeholders on the topics of Legal Regulatory Compliance Process, Risk Control Self-assessment, and the Compliance Risk Analysis.
- Advising on the creation and further development as well as organizational establishment of control procedures to avoid breaches of regulatory obligations, particularly those of the German Capital Investment Code (KAGB).
- Performing initial control assessment. Evaluation of the design and operating effectiveness of key controls in the control environment.
- Conducting, independently, detailed audit-like testing activities (monitoring activities and measures) on the internal control system, evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of key controls in the control environment and detailed analysis of completeness / accuracy / quality of data.
Your skills and experience:
- Proofed first professional experience in the field of compliance or audit, preferably in a capital management company or a bank.
- Completed bachelors and/or masters degree in law, economics, finance or comparable subjects.
- Confident handling of MS Office.
- Very good knowledge of English, other European languages an advantage.
- Strategic, conceptual and independent way of working.
