As a Revenue Accountant, you will be responsible for revenue accounting of IDG EMEA Group legal entities, ensuring correct and proper display of revenues in the full chain from order to final invoicing, including accrued and deferred revenue management.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring financial aspects in contracts/sales orders (wherever applicable) to ensure that revenue is recognized in line with revenue recognition guidelines
• Collaborating with marketing, sales, and operations departments to ensure accurate reporting of revenue
• Performing monthly revenue close activities, including revenue calculations, reconciliations, and journal entries
• Overseeing the general ledger of revenue-relevant accounts
• Preparing and maintaining revenue schedules, including deferred revenue & unbilled accounts receivables
• Reconciling revenues with project budgets
• Providing documentation and explanations during external and internal audits
• Ad hoc requests and analysis as needed

Qualifications

• Accounting degree or similar required
• At least two years of experience in accounting, preferably with US GAAP at a top-tier international accounting firm
• Working knowledge of ERP software (experience in Microsoft Dynamics will be an asset)
• Proficiency in MS Office package, in particular Excel
• Very good command of English (at least B2 level)
• Excellent financial and analytical skills
• Great at multi-tasking & prioritizing
• Attention to details & high quality outputs
• Client service-oriented with the ability to build strong, positive team relationships
• Similar experience of working in an international, dynamic environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Accounting qualification, ., ACCA or CPA in progress, will be an asset
