Responsibilities
- Independent planning and execution of recombinant protein expression and purification protocols for multiple client projects simultaneously.
- Method establishment, optimizing purification steps and troubleshooting expression challenges.
- Perform biophysical and analytical assays to characterise produced proteins and ensure their quality and functionality.
- Present scientific results clearly and communicate the content confidently to colleagues, customers, and business partners.
- Manage daily lab maintenance, inventory, and internal documentation.
- Ensure all work complies with internal Quality Assurance protocols and industry standards.
- Preparation of relevant project documentation (i.e. project plans, SOPs, scientific presentations, technical reports).
Requirements
- PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field; a Masters degree with extensive industry experience is also acceptable.
- Minimum 5 year of proven practical laboratory experience focused on recombinant protein production and biophysical characterization in an academic or industrial setting.
- Demonstrated strong technical competence in insect and/or mammalian cell expression system.
- Strong skill in executing purification protocols, specifically: cell lysis; routine and effective use of Affinity and Size Exclusion and Ion-Exchange Chromatography; solid practical experience operating FPLC/AKTA systems.
- Practical experience with methods to study protein functionality, stability and binding kinetics (eg. SPR, MST, DSF).
- English (B2 level or higher) sufficient for reading scientific literature, preparing reports and communicating with clients.
- A strong growth mindset combined with the ability to follow detailed instructions and collaborate effectively as a supportive, reliable member of the production team.
- Independence, goal orientation and accountability for results.
- Focus on acquiring new technical skills and quickly implementing established laboratory protocols.
- High attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality and reproducible results.

- Structural Biology/AI practical knowledge or hands‑on experience.
