Offer Description
This position is funded by the Polish National Science Center - contract number UMO-2021/43/B/ST8/01924.
Daily tasks:
- production of carbonaceous materials and characterization of their composition;
- research on biomethane production and characterization of digestate;
- SEM-EDX analysis of carbonaceous materials;
- confocal laser microscopy;
- statistical analysis, data collection, analysis, and validation;
- participation in research on applied bioeconomy;
- participation in writing publications for high-ranking IF journals listed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education;
- active substantive participation in the preparation and submission of applications for research funding in open national and international competitions.
PhD in environmental engineering, mining and energy, environmental sciences, chemical sciences, biological sciences, or related fields,
- Experience in characterizing waste properties, biotechnology, molecular genetics, analytical chemistry, biosorption, bioaccumulation, microbial handling, biotransformation of organic matter, biochar or hydrochar production and their location;
- Experience in collecting and assembling information (data collection, data analysis);
- At least two scientific publications in IF journals;
- English language proficiency at a minimum level of B2.
Specific Requirements
A person may be employed in a post-doc position if they obtained a doctoral degree in the year of employment in the project or in the period of 7 years before 1 January of the year of employment in the project (this period may be extended in some cases) and meet the formal requirements of the National Science Centre set out in the regulations for granting funds for the implementation of tasks financed by the National Science Centre in the scope of research projects for the competition.Additional Information
