RECTOR OF CZESTOCHOWA UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY

announces an open call for the position of

Research Assistant Professor (POST-DOC)

at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering

under the NCN project No.UMO-2020/39/B/ST8/01449:

“Development of a new passive flow control method based on in-depth analysis of near-wall physical phenomena”

Applications are invited from candidates who meet the detailed requirements set out by the recruitment committee appointed in accordance with the NCN (National Science Centre) regulations.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• A doctoral degree (PhD) in engineering and technical sciences in the discipline of Mechanical Engineering, Mechanics, Aerospace Engineering, or in natural and exact sciences in the discipline of Physics (obtained no earlier than 7 years prior to the year of employment in the project).
• Knowledge of fluid mechanics, aerodynamics and flow turbulence.
• Knowledge of turbulent flow metrology, measurement methods used in fluid mechanics, especially optical time-resolved PIV using Dantec DynamicStudio software and advanced post-processing of the velocity maps.
• Knowledge of LabView, MatLab and Tecplot software.
• Highly scored publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals related to near-wall flows, especially turbulent flow metrology.
• Ability to independently plan and conduct experiments on turbulent flow.
• Very good command of the English language.

• Data Controller

• Purpose and legal basis of processing

Your personal data will be processed for the purpose of the recruitment process.

The legal basis is Article 221 of the Act of 26 June 1974 - Labour Code in conjunction with Article 6 (1) (c) of the GDPR.

Provision of additional data beyond that required by Article 221is voluntary and considered consent for processing, which may be revoked at any time.

If the documents you provided include the data referred to in Article 9 (1) of the GDPR, your consent for their processing will be required, which can be revoked at any time.

• Recipients of personal data

Personal data may be transferred only to entities authorized by law or providing services to the Data Controller, including legal or IT services.

Data collected during recruitment will be stored until completion of the process; if employed, data will be stored according to applicable employee record laws and archiving regulations in force at Czestochowa University of Technology.

• Rights of data subjects

Under the GDPR, and in specific cases, you have the right to: access your personal data, receive a copy of it, rectify (amend) your personal data, restrict its processing, and request the deletion of your data.

If you believe that your personal data is processed in violation of the law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.

• Requirement to provide data

Provision of personal data required under Article 221 of the Labour Code is mandatory for recruitment participation. Other data is voluntary.

• Automated decision making

The personal data you provide will not be subject to automated processing, including profiling.

SALARY:

PLN 10,000 per month (gross, including employer paid contributions, benefits, and the 13th salary) starting on 1 December 2025 for 8 months, with the option to extend for 10 additional months.
