Job purpose

The Requirements Management Engineer (RQM) is part of the systems engineering core team on a project, responsible for the management and coordination of all requirements. The RQM is the primary interface to the project stakeholders and internal feature developers, responsible for driving the derivation, decomposition, dissemination and review of requirements from a customer to a component level.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure accuracy of, and configuration manage all project related stakeholder requirements, norms, standards and specifications.
  • Manage the customer compliance matrix.
  • Manage the structure of requirements and source documentation (Documentation Master List) in the Requirements Management tool.
  • Define the reuse concept for the platform requirements.
  • Work with the development leads to define release-based content schedule.
  • Communicate and disseminate requirements to function and feature developers.
  • Ensure traceability and consistency of requirements derived from norms, standards and stakeholder specifications.
  • Ensure the requirements management process is followed.
  • Define stakeholder requirements review criteria and ensure requirements review process is followed.
  • Work closely with system & software architects, functional safety and test engineers to ensure downstream user feedback.
  • Freeze and release the requirement baselines for each system release.
  • Track requirements progress metrics to ensure progress to the project timeline.
  • Ensure quality consistency of requirements across projects.

What we are looking for

Bachelors Degree.

Experience in working with requirements development in an automotive, aviation or similar industry.

Good knowledge of requirements and systems engineering principles and guidelines (eg INCOSE, IREB).

Experience with a requirements management tools eg. Polarion, Doors, Codebeamer etc.

Experience in working within an ASPICE based process environment (or similar)

Preferred Experience

Experience in delivering a project with functional safety (ISO26262) requirements.

Propulsion or electric motor system experience.

Experience with a task management tool such as Atlassian JIRA, IBM RTC etc.
