Inviting applications for the role of Repair Engineer – Manager – English - Onsite Lublin.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support all Aircraft Engine repairs and maintenance, ensuring tasks are completed in accordance with aviation regulations and industry standards.
- Work closely with maintenance teams, engineers, and suppliers to implement efficient and effective repair solutions in line with industry standards and regulations.
- Develop Repairs for Commercial Engines, Modules and Components to achieve maintenance cost, performance and life objectives.
- Identify and develop new repair technologies and creative applications of existing technologies to address business needs.
- Define and coordinate substantiation activities (design, analysis, testing, etc.) to demonstrate airworthiness of serviceable or repaired components.
- Own Technical Publications relevant to engines, components or sub-assemblies.
- Utilize design tools (2D/3D CAD such as Unigraphics) and in-house software; use Tech Pubs creation/editing tools.
- Analyze and interpret technical data, maintenance logs, and maintenance records to determine required repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with aircraft maintenance teams and engineers to develop repair processes.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify suitable repair techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide technical guidance and support during the repair process.
- Document all repair development activities, including repair specifications, procedures, and outcomes.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in aviation engine repair techniques, materials, and regulations.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement of repair processes and procedures.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues during the repair process; conduct post-repair evaluations to assess effectiveness and longevity of repair solutions.
- Conduct technical analysis and substantiation of repair sources to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with regulatory authorities to obtain necessary approvals and certifications for repair sources.
- Perform risk assessments and evaluations to determine the suitability and reliability of repair procedures.
- Document and maintain detailed records of all repair source evaluations, substantiations, and approvals.
- Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills related to aviation engine repair and maintenance.
- Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing engine issues and failures.
- Author / define repair tasks, including substantiation as a Competent Author (CA).
- Choose a Repair Technique based on different damages and explain advantages and disadvantages; write a detailed procedure/steps for each Repair Technique and explain the use of each step.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors/Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Sense of ownership, collaboration, and proactivity; good technical skills; strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills; clear thinking and diligent approach.
- Preferred Qualifications/Skills: Relevant certification in aviation engine maintenance and repair; prior experience in aviation engine repair and maintenance; proficient in interpreting technical data, maintenance records, and engineering drawings – CAD; experience with FEA, stress analysis; strong knowledge of aviation regulations and industry standards; excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills; detail-oriented with accurate inspection and repair capabilities; strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team; proficient in using computerized systems and software for documenting and tracking repair activities; curiosity and passion for in-service aviation engines; good materials and special processes knowledge; previous experience in aerospace design.
