We are seeking a passionate and motivated Renewals Manager to join our dynamic Client Advisory Services team. This key individual contributor will play a vital role in maintaining market-leading retention rates and driving revenue growth. Our team is dedicated to customer loyalty and bringing the right people together to secure and grow our revenue.
Why This Role is Exciting
As a Renewals Manager, you will focus on the closed-loop process of subscription renewals and the expansion of our current customer base. You will assist with quoting, revising, reporting, and closing renewal opportunities. Your expertise in forecasting retention rates and expansion, driving business processes, and managing heavy transaction workloads will be crucial in securing revenue and mitigating risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Planning: Develop and implement strategic renewal plans, initiate processes 120 days before contract end, conduct account research, navigate complex contract structures, and ensure timely renewals.
- Negotiation & Collaboration: Negotiate terms and pricing, identify expansion opportunities, and collaborate with internal stakeholders (Sales, Customer Success, Legal, Deal Desk) for smooth renewal processes.
- Quoting and Documentation: Generate and deliver renewal quotes and order forms accurately and in a timely manner.
- Contract Execution: Manage coordination and execution of amendments and renewal documents.
- Forecasting & Communication: Provide accurate rolling 180 day forecasts, update SFDC and forecasting tools, and ensure clear, professional communication with customers.
- Feedback & Improvement: Gather customer insights, identify risks, share feedback with relevant teams, and refine strategies for future renewals.
Attributes for a Successful Candidate
- Experience: 3+ years in SaaS renewals, sales, customer success, or account management, with experience in managing contract renewals and negotiations.
- Tech stack: Proficiency with platforms such as Salesforce, BoostUp, MixMax, Outreach, Gong, etc.; strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing multiple renewals.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to assess contract terms, identify upsell opportunities, and resolve issues proactively.
- Collaboration: Effective interpersonal skills for cross-functional work and clear, professional communication.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with a sense of urgency to close renewals on time.
- Business Acumen: Understanding of key SaaS metrics and experience forecasting revenue impacts and optimizing renewals.
- Customer-Centric Mindset: Commitment to a seamless customer experience, anticipating needs, and aligning solutions with customer and company objectives.
- Detail-oriented: Commitment to accuracy and quality in documentation.
- Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and energetic team player.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field is a plus.
