We are seeking a Release Engineer to contribute to the delivery of high-quality software products by overseeing the build, release, and deployment workflows across diverse environments and platforms. In this role, you will work closely with development, testing, and operations teams to ensure the seamless release of software, optimizing the entire release process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain robust build and release pipelines, utilizing tools such as Jenkins, Git, Docker, and more.
- Automate and enhance the efficiency of build, testing, and deployment processes to accelerate and stabilize software product delivery.
- Troubleshoot issues in the release process, ensuring smooth and efficient operation.
- Monitor and enhance the performance, reliability, and security of software products.
- Communicate release plans, statuses, and best practices to stakeholders clearly and effectively.
- Stay current with new tools and technologies to continuously improve DevOps practices.
- Assist in the writing and testing of desktop application installers.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in a Release Engineer role or a similar position within a DevOps environment.
- Expertise in Windows systems administration and scripting.
- Proficient in using configuration management, CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and containerization technologies like Docker.
- Proficient with version control systems such as GitHub.
- Experience in programming languages like Python.
- Familiarity with Linux systems administration is a plus.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and Mac OS is advantageous.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for cross-team interactions.
