In order to further strengthen our Finance team in Poland, we are looking for a Regional Junior Financial Analyst to join our Warsaw office.
This role requires fluent cross-functional communication in English and Polish. Therefore please upload your CV in English only. Interviews will be conducted fully in English.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Business Partnership to local GM, Sales and Marketing teams
- Support Revenue growth via execution of annual plans and strategic programs
- Responsible for all aspects of financial support for target business
- Analyse profit margin, Net Pricing, Product and Channel Mix
- Create Annual Plans, Monthly Rolling Forecasts in close collaboration with the local and regional Sales and Marketing teams and in line with the Group Controlling guidelines
- Review and prepare accruals/other adjustments particularly in reference to customer discounts (Trade Spend), marketing and SG&A
- Control Marketing investment and overhead cost vs. annual plans and forecasts
- Analyse actual results and variance drivers vs. plans / forecasts / prior year and provide suggestions to Management team on an improvement action
- Monthly reporting of actuals and analysis of results: gross margin by customer and product, performing review to understand and improve our profitability, identify and escalate reporting discrepancies or control issues, highlighting the so what
- Analyse different business cases - new product launches, new distribution channels, marketing strategies - and deliver multi-year financial business plans; also considering process and organizational questions
- Build monthly accruals for trade discounts, marketing and overhead cost and track spending against it
- Provide competitive insights to the local Sales & Marketing teams
- Providing the business with other financial support as the need arises: dealing with ad hoc queries and analysis
- Build financial awareness and skills across the business
Profile: - 3+ years of experience in Financial Controlling of international FMCG
- Proven working experience in Sales / Business Controlling function
- Ability to analyse Sales and Marketing data, financial performance of the business and translate it into actionable insights
- Strong communication skills
- Self-starter with ability to work independently
- Team player able to build cross-functional network within the matrix / regional organizations
- A masters degree and preferably relevant designations such as ACCA
- Fluent verbal/written communication skills in French and English
- Good technical skills with Financial Planning & Reporting applications (SAC, SAP BW, SAP) and MS Office
- Excellent skills in Excel including Macros. (hard requirement and we will test)
