R&D Supply Chain Management Specialist
Location: Łódź, Poland.
In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing the supply chain processes that support research and development initiatives. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure timely availability of materials, implement cost‑effective strategies, and drive quality and compliance in all supply chain activities.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Translate technical requirements (MRS/TRS) into purchasing specifications and supplier inquiries.
- Maintain material data/BOM for prototypes and pilot series.
- Analyze supplier offers, support negotiations, and prepare cost comparisons and benchmarks.
- Coordinate component availability for prototypes/tests and support trial logistics.
- Participate in Design-to-Value workshops and implement standardisation and cost optimisation actions.
- Ensure compliance with quality, HSE, and IP procedures; archive project documentation.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Production, and Project Management during project gate reviews.
- Support Distribution R&D Team in C3 critical materials qualification. Coordinate with Technology Leads and team members during definition of new materials, technical specification and validation tests for critical materials. Maintenance of approval process and records.
Your background
- University degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, materials) or economics with technical experience.
- Experience in SCM/Sourcing/Costing within an R&D or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work with technical drawings, BOMs, and cost analysis.
- Basic knowledge of distribution transformers or willingness to learn quickly.
- Proficiency in office tools (Excel, data analysis); experience in DtV/DFMA is an advantage.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in an international environment.
- English proficiency at minimum B2 level (written and spoken).
