Description

We are looking for a R&D project manager to join our HVDC team at Hitachi Energy in Kraków. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a talented team of engineers and lead R&D projects focusing on the development of innovative solutions for HVDC applications.

Your responsibilities

1. Set up and execute R&D projects together with your project team in alignment with our R&D portfolio management.
2. Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, and resource plans; perform risk analysis and monitor the progress of plans against project milestones and budgets.
3. Proactively work with the team to identify potential risks and uncertainties associated with the implementation of new solutions. Develop risk management plans and strategies to respond to risks as they arise.
4. Drive requirements analysis, pre-studies, solution development, and documentation of results in the projects.
5. As an R&D Project Manager, you will be a part of the R&D Project Management Office. As a team, we are all responsible for working on our processes, quality, learning from/helping each other, and developing individually and as a team.

Your background

1. University degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or similar.
2. Over 5 years of project management experience in leading product development projects in high voltage, high power applications, MV drives, or similar applications.
3. Drive the implementation of the backlog in a transparent and efficient way and ensure quality and timeliness of releases.
4. Responsible for scope definition, budget estimation, and planning of the different R&D projects.
5. Ability to lead geographically dispersed teams in a multi-site global environment.
