Our engineers develop the next-generation technologies in HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) that enable the transmission of electricity over long distances and via submarine cables, providing access to electricity for billions of people around the globe. You will work in our global R&D organization on a specific development project critical to Hitachi Energys needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve.
The current technology has enabled the connection of renewable energy such as large offshore wind and remote solar generators to the grid, bringing clean energy to large cities. Our team is a part of Hitachi Energy Technology and Solutions Development in Krakow, Poland, and is responsible for the development of semiconductor-based HVDC and SVC converter valves. At our site in Krakow, we employ more than 100 people working on converter development, electronics, and control.

Reporting to Małgorzata Szewczyk-Jaszczyńska, R&D Manager, supported by Agnieszka Wojtysiak, Low Voltage Power Electronics Development Manager for Poland, and Magnus Edberg, Global HVDC Valve Development Manager, you will cooperate and be supported by our global R&D teams and experts.
