Quality Engineer – New Product Development

Join the Global Quality team at Imperial Brands. This role provides a unique opportunity for a professional with a strong quality background to work closely with product development, innovation, and consumer insights.

Job location: Warsaw, Poland – hybrid within the country. Employment type: Full‑time.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with GCO teams (Insights, Sensory, etc.) to understand basic consumer quality expectations and translate them into product requirements.
• Conduct trend analysis of consumer complaints and maintain a global overview of complaints and incidents.
• Collaborate with Innovation/R&D on quality topics, including:
• Interpreting product‑related quality insights and sharing them within GSC (Quality Compliance and Operations teams).
• Acting as a core member of all innovation projects pre/post BOSCAR approval.
• Provide design‑related input to new product risk logs based on lessons learned from consumer quality insights.
• Share and discuss the product risk log within development project teams to continuously improve the current portfolio and ensure learning is fed into the innovation pipeline.
• Use available consumer insights to guarantee that product quality documents are consumer‑relevant and validated (look‑out project) and are continuously improved.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in life sciences or an equivalent field of study.
• Experience in quality management, quality systems, quality processes and tools (risk assessment, root cause analysis, QMS & SOP development).
• Understanding of manufacturing and R&D processes with an interest in working closely with product development.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable recommendations; extensive knowledge of MS‑Office.
• Fluent English and strong communication skills across all organizational levels.
• Intercultural awareness, pro‑activeness, and the ability to work under time pressure.
