Our solutions empower M&A professionals, finance departments, and organizations with fast, accurate, reliable insights across complex, data-centric environments. The company currently employs seven Poland based employees. Our other employees are based in Minneapolis, Chicago, Charlotte, London, Dublin, Greece, India and Philippines.
THE ROLE
EBM is looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to establish and lead a company-wide QA function that ensures the quality and reliability of our data-driven products. These applications handle large-scale client datasets (ranging from 10 million to 500 million+ records) and are central to harmonizing, augmenting, and enriching data to drive analytics and reporting.
In this role, you will design and manage QA processes across the entire product development lifecycle—from ideation through development, launch, and customer support. You will lead a small QA team (1–2 testers) and be directly responsible for building the quality strategy, implementing best practices, and integrating AI-driven solutions to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of QA operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, implement, and own the QA process and strategy across the full product lifecycle.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a small team of QA professionals (manual and automated testing).
- Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, developers, and UX/UI designers to ensure test coverage from ideation through deployment.
- Ensure testing practices and tools support the needs of high-volume, data-centric applications.
- Build and maintain automated test frameworks and define test plans and success criteria.
- Implement AI-driven solutions to improve QA productivity, test case coverage, and defect detection.
- Establish and monitor QA metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with best practices in QA methodology, data privacy, and security.
WHAT IT TAKES
- Proven experience building and scaling QA processes in a SaaS or software product company.
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
- Experience testing high-volume, structured data environments (e.g., SQL-based platforms).
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, and CI/CD.
- Ability to define quality metrics and drive decisions based on data and insights.
- A proactive mindset with a desire to innovate and continuously improve QA strategy and function.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate across teams.
WHAT YOUR RESUME SHOWS
While we’re looking for some specific experiences and skill sets, nothing is more important than passion for technology, ability to innovate and creative problem solving. Some of the things you might bring to the role include:
- 5+ years of experience in software QA with at least 2 years in a lead or managerial role.
- Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress).
- Familiarity with SQL and testing in data-heavy applications.
- Exposure to AI/ML solutions in QA or a demonstrated interest in learning them.
- Experience working cross-functionally in fast-paced product organizations.
- A track record of building scalable and efficient QA processes from the ground up.
