Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test automation frameworks, scripting, and tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, and Gherkin. You’ll work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Write clear and concise Gherkin scenarios that define test cases in a BDD format.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies, acceptance criteria, and automation coverage.
• Maintain and enhance existing automation suites and frameworks.
• Execute automated and manual test cases during development sprints and regression cycles.
• Identify, document, and track bugs through resolution.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Ensure test environments and test data are properly set up.
• Advocate for best QA and automation practices across the team.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in QA automation engineering.
• Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver.
• Proficiency in Cucumber and writing test scenarios using Gherkin syntax.
• Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with source control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools.
• Experience testing RESTful APIs is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to performance testing or security testing tools.
• ISTQB or similar QA certification.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
