Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

Communications Service Providers (CSP) are AVSystems largest, most important customers. We build, test, launch and operate systems for our telco and utilities customers and make a living by keeping them relevant, reliable and remarkable.

You will join our team, maintaining Coiote AE – a major software component in the application enablement field. This opportunity is for a new project within the utilities space, focusing on assuring quality of electricity meters monitoring and management system . Youll be part of a cross-technical, experienced team, working collaboratively to drive innovation in utilities management.

We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer proficient in preparing test plans, verifying code quality delivered by software engineers, identifying bugs, and ensuring robust software projects. This is a full-time role suited for candidates with several years of commercial experience. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in IT, coupled with a keen interest in learning and adopting new tools and technologies.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of professional experience in QA engineering or software testing
  • A degree in Computer Science, ICT, Mathematics, Software Quality Engineering or a related technical field
  • Experience with automated testing tools (e.g. Playwright , Selenium ) as well as manual testing
  • Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g. Gatling , JMeter )
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Python , Bash , JavaScript )
  • Networks and Linux fundamentals knowledge
  • Proficiency in Polish and English
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to application quality, and having a questioning approach to better understand tasks
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

A huge plus if you have experience with:

  • Playwright
  • Gatling
  • JVM languages (Scala, Java, Kotlin)
  • MongoDB
  • Kafka

Responsibilities:

  • Perform both manual and automated tests
  • Review and ensure the quality of product documentation
  • Prepare test documentation
  • Provide internal support during office hours
