Quality Assurance Associate & Responsible Person for Controlled Products at Pharmaceutical Wholesale

As Quality Assurance Associate & Responsible Person for Controlled Products at Pharmaceutical Wholesale, you will ensure compliance with GDP standards, pharmaceutical law and Perrigo’s corporate procedures. This position combines quality assurance responsibilities with oversight of controlled substances, making it ideal for a licensed pharmacist who values precision, regulatory compliance and patient safety.

You’ll work in a dynamic wholesale environment, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to maintain the highest standards of quality and integrity in the distribution of medicinal products.
Scope of the Role
As Responsible Person for Controlled Products
- Oversee the turnover of controlled medicinal products (psychotropic substances and narcotics) in line with legal requirements.
- Accept deliveries and manage distribution of controlled products.
- Maintain accurate records and fulfill reporting obligations.
- Develop and update procedures and instructions related to controlled products.
- Participate in suspension and withdrawal processes for controlled products.
- Ensure proper technical and sanitary conditions of wholesale premises.
- Support qualification of suppliers and recipients.
- Supervise disposal of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
- Act as the primary contact for Health Authorities on controlled product topics.
- Respond to internal and external queries regarding controlled products.
As Quality Assurance Associate
- Maintain and improve the Quality Management System across Perrigo Poland & Baltics under QA Manager supervision.
- Create, review and update controlled documents (SOPs, instructions).
- Support implementation of Good Distribution Practices at the wholesale site.
- Verify transport conditions and compliance.
- Participate in product suspension and withdrawal processes.
- Investigate deviations, non‑conformances and manage CAPAs.
- Handle quality complaints, recalls and product investigations.
- Assist with product reworks and relabeling according to SOPs.
- Support internal and external audits, including Health Authority inspections.
- Organise internal QA trainings for employees and 3PL partners.
- Prepare and submit reports to ZSMOPL.
Experience Required
- Master’s degree in Pharmacy and valid pharmaceutical licence.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical wholesale or pharmacy setting.
- Strong command of English (written and spoken).
Nice-to-have
- Previous experience as QA Associate or Responsible Person for controlled products.
- Solid knowledge of Pharmaceutical Law and GDP requirements.
