Quality & Sustainability Specialist



Your responsibilities

­The Quality & Sustainability Specialist at a glance:

▪ Manages, implements and improves the company Integrated Management System according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001 standards.

▪ Develops and manages sustainability initiatives for the organization, by coordinating with several local departments to ensure the full integration of ESG principles in line with the Groups purpose.

▪ Collaborates with Group System Improvement to the development of the professional family.

▪ Is the local referent person for Group System Improvement department.

The main activities of this role are:

Integrated management system:

▪ Assures the implementation and improvement of the company Integrated Management System according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001 standards.

▪ Supervises and ensures compliance with company standards throughout the company, organising and performing internal audits as required by the Integrated Management System and, where necessary, at suppliers, reporting the results to the General Manager and relevant roles in the Group.

▪ Gathers and appraises proposals and suggestions received from all departments in order to consider actual context of the company, stakeholder expectations, treats and opportunities.

▪ Collects, analyses and evaluates System data, providing support for the periodic Management Review and other relevant reporting activities.

▪ Promotes and spreads quality awareness and culture within the organisation.

▪ As business partner, identifies and implements business process improvement actions in accordance with relevant company standards and guidelines, policies laws and regulations.

▪ With the sponsorship of the General Manager, he/she is Project Leader of specific projects of management system implementation and certification.

ESG development:

▪ In cooperation with the various company departments, contributes to the definition of company sustainability strategies in line with the Kerakoll group.

▪ Coordinates cross-functional teams to collect sustainability data and information for the application of reporting frameworks, ESG ratings and scorings (e.g., ESRS, ESG rating, B Impact Assessment, etc.).

▪ Spreads the culture of sustainability through activities to raise awareness, involvement and alignment with the Group approach.

▪ Analyses the external and internal context in which the company operates and stakeholder expectations, assessing ESG risks or the opportunity to implement new initiatives.

▪ Oversees the correct use of sustainability claims in compliance with current regulations (e.g., Green Claim) and company guidelines.

▪ Coordinates and participates in external and internal sustainability audits, as well as any second-party audits at suppliers.

▪ As business partner of the company departments, identifies and proposes ESG improvement actions in line with Group guidelines, purpose benefits, policies, laws and regulations.

Our requirements

▪ Bachelors or Masters degree in management/environmental engineering (other options in science-based fields: Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Biotechnologies; economics field:Business Administration / Economics and Business Management, Statistics / Statistical Science)

▪ Good knowledge of Quality Management Systems and applicable standards (e.g,: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, ISO 45001, ISO 17025, Factory Production Control)

▪ Good knowledge of standards for construction products concerned (e.g.,: Construction Products Regulation (CPR) 315/2011/UE, Marine Equipment Directive 2014/90/UE, EN 12004, EN 998, EN 1504, other local standards.)

▪ Demonstrated experience with ESG programs with emphasis on environmental/climate is preferred

▪ Strong teamwork and project management skills

▪ Problem solving

▪ Strong analytical abilities, root cause analysis

▪ Ability to digest and understand laws/regulations

▪ Proficiency in MS Office suite (particularly, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)

▪ English language (B2 or B2+ Level)

▪ Italian language (is considered a plus)

▪ Availability to travel abroad (2-3 travels of 5 days per year)

In addition to above characteristics, the role requires:

3-5 years of experience in the development of management systems in consulting firms or manufacturing companies such as:

▪ Buildings

▪ Construction products (premixes, paints and varnishes, glazes, ceramics, etc.)

▪ Pharmaceutical and biomedical industry

▪ Food Industry

▪ Engineering and automotive industry

▪ Textile and fashion industry
