Hey there! At Vendo ( we help large organizations run their eCommerce businesses - multi-brand stores, marketplaces, and multi-tenant platforms. Were core maintainers of Spree Commerce, an open-source framework based on Ruby on Rails with 15k Github stars and over 2.5 million downloads!

We’re currently on the lookout for a Manual Tester to join our team! In this position, you’ll play a key role in developing new features and keeping our platform running smoothly. If youre passionate about QA and agile software dev, including contributing to the wider development community through open-source projects, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive test plans for new and existing features of the Spree platform.
• Define test objectives, scope, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with the team and the stakeholders.
• Identify, isolate, and document bugs and defects using clear, concise steps to reproduce and include relevant screenshots.
• Perform periodic regression and exploratory tests to ensure continuous monitoring of the performance.
• Ensure thorough testing across different browsers, devices, and resolutions.
• Automate your work with code and/or AI

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Manual Tester or QA engineer, preferably in an e-commerce environment.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and CI/CD processes.
• Familiarity with Postman & REST/JSON API testing
• Familiarity with Markdown and GitHub
• Familiarity with AI tools and the ability to integrate them to automate your work
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira/Linear/Monday.com/etc
• Familiarity with Agile/Kanban methodologies
• Familiarity with "possum" - our secret code
• Experience in creating and executing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and user documentation.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in English.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with performance and security testing.
• Previous involvement in eCommerce projects.
• ISTQB or other relevant QA certifications.
• Experience with Selenium
