Summary:

This role requires working as a senior team member with high technical skills in a Scrum team to design, create, maintain and execute quality activities for one of Charles River’s products. Provide support and assistance to customers and other teams within Charles River.

The candidate should be a sharp automation engineer with strong problem-solving skills and a solid software testing foundation. This role requires a talented, detail oriented, individual who is passionate about quality with the ability to grasp tough issues quickly and deliver well engineered, high-quality solutions.

Were looking for a QA Automation engineer to help us deliver quality software artifacts that ensure high-quality software development. We expect the ability to write automated tests across multiple technologies and application layers. In addition, this candidate is responsible for maintaining and expanding the labs which host both automated and manual testing as well as conducting staging and certification of the product media during the ship-stage of a release.

This role requires hybrid work model (3 days from the office/week), which you can perform from our offices in Krakow or Gdansk.

Required Skills:

• B.S. degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, and Physics or other technical course of study or Business with an MIS background. MS degree strongly preferred.
• 6 - 9 years of experience in software engineering. Being an expert in the field of automated testing (at least in one area: desktop application, web application, API)
• Demonstrated experience implementing and executing automation test scripts against web, native/desktop applications, APIs and batch applications.
• Very strong programming skills in one of modern languages (preferred C#)
• Fluent English

Nice to have:

• Ability to take ownership for delivering quality in the entrusted project domain by developing test automation
• Demonstrated experience in RDBMS databases like MS SQL/Oracle with ability to write and execute SQL statements
• Demonstrated experience in CICD tools with ability to effectively integrate tests into organization to help gather quality metrics
• Demonstrated experience in performance tests and industry tools (JMeter, k6, Gatling or any)
• Demonstrated ability translating business requirements into comprehensive functional and technical test plans
• Financial services industry experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in technical mentoring team members
• Effective written and verbal communication.
