The QA/QC Site Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities related to the combined-cycle power plant are executed in accordance with the project’s quality standards, applicable codes, engineering specifications, and contractual requirements. The role requires close coordination with site construction teams, subcontractors, vendors, and the project quality department to maintain full compliance and drive continuous improvement in project quality performance.
Responsibilities
- Implement the project Quality Management System and ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures.
- Review drawings, specifications, ITPs, and method statements for correct site execution.
- Perform inspections for mechanical, electrical, civil, and piping works; verify materials and equipment compliance.
- Witness testing activities including NDT, pressure tests, alignment checks, and commissioning tests.
- Prepare inspection reports, maintain quality records, and issue/track NCRs and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors, and third-party inspectors to resolve quality issues.
- Support audits and promote a strong quality culture on site.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree (Mechanical/Electrical/Civil or related).
- Experience in QA/QC for industrial or power-plant construction.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (ASME, API, IEC, etc.).
- Strong documentation, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
