We are seeking an experienced QA Manager to lead and transform our Quality Assurance function. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on evolving our QA strategy — from manual testing to automation-first practices — and embedding a shift-left quality culture across the development lifecycle. You will be pivotal in scaling quality processes, aligning teams under a unified QA vision, and driving innovation in how we ensure platform integrity.
Responsibilities
- Define and lead the transformation of QA practices across the organisation
- Drive the transition from manual testing towards modern, scalable test automation frameworks
- Promote and embed a shift-left approach by integrating QA earlier in the software development lifecycle
- Define and execute a QA roadmap aligned with our automation and quality evolution goals
- Act as the central point of QA leadership, aligning testing strategies across multiple engineering domains
- Own quality outcomes by setting measurable objectives and KPIs for product and process integrity
- Champion best practices in test strategy, test planning, and release readiness assessments
- Manage and mentor a distributed team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, growth, and continuous improvement
- Establish quality standards across teams, providing support to evolve manual testers into automation-focused professionals
- Collaborate with engineering leads to ensure quality is everyones responsibility
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of test automation strategies, tools, and frameworks
- Work with developers, DevOps, and QA to integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines
- Monitor automation coverage and effectiveness, identifying areas for expansion and optimisation
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, DevOps, and Compliance teams to ensure quality is built-in from the start
- Act as a bridge between domain QA teams to ensure consistent execution of testing approaches and aligned goals
- Facilitate QA alignment across time zones and departments, ensuring streamlined communication and visibility
Requirements
- FinTech background: Strong familiarity with regulatory and quality expectations in financial services
- Distributed team leadership: Experience managing cross-regional QA teams with consistent outcomes
- Automation: Expertise with tools like Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, RestAssured, Postman, Pact and experience creating or scaling automation frameworks
- API & CI/CD proficiency: Solid understanding of REST, Web Services testing, and automation within CI/CD environments
- Analytical mindset: Ability to use quality metrics and insights to inform testing strategies and process improvements
- Agile delivery: Deep familiarity with Agile and iterative development environments
- Communication: Effectively explain QA priorities and technical matters to diverse stakeholders
- Problem-solving: Thrive in identifying pain points and developing innovative, scalable solutions
- Accountability: Demonstrated ownership over QA initiatives, coupled with a data-driven, outcome-oriented approach
