This role focuses on testing native mobile applications, especially features that impact real users — from onboarding and authentication to core habit‑building functionality. • Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and platform-specific testing on iOS and Android.
  • Validate consumer-facing experiences, focusing on authentication, onboarding, and commerce-related flows.
  • Proactively investigate issues using logging tools like Sentry and collaborate on debugging efforts.
  • Participate in QA planning activities and provide input on risk areas and test coverage needs.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs; work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
  • Participate in sprint planning and daily stand‑ups to stay aligned with development progress.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and best practices.
  • Support release cycles with final validations and smoke testing.
  • (Optional) Support automation efforts or bring in knowledge of modern QA tooling and practices.
  • Ensure the product delivers a smooth, delightful, and reliable user experience across devices.

Qualifications

  • + years of experience in QA, specifically testing consumer-facing applications.
  • Hands‑on experience testing native mobile applications on both iOS and Android.
  • Strong understanding of platform‑specific behaviors, UI/UX patterns, and constraints for iOS/Android.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing types, and best practices.
  • Experience in writing and executing detailed test cases.
  • Hands‑on experience with bug tracking tools (JIRA or similar).
  • Familiarity with logging/monitoring tools like Sentry, and ability to investigate issues through logs and error reports.
  • Experience in web application testing.
  • Familiarity with test case management tools (TestRail, Zephyr, or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem‑solving mindset.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate in cross‑functional teams.

Nice to have

  • Experience or exposure to modern automation tools or frameworks (Detox, Appium, Cypress, etc.).
  • Familiarity with tools is a plus: React Native, Firebase, Contentful CMS, Braze CRM, PostHog, MetaBase, PostgreSQL.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
