As a Senior QA Engineer, you will lead the automation initiative for Windows-based applications, maintaining the existing Robot Framework setup while designing a new framework for scalability. You’ll combine hands-on automation (80%) with manual testing (20%), mentor junior testers, and drive quality improvements across the product lifecycle.
responsibilities :
Lead and maintain the test automation project for Windows-based applications using Robot Framework (EggPlant will be a plus, but its not obligatory).
Develop, maintain, and optimize automated and manual test cases (80/20 ratio).
Design and develop a new automation framework while maintaining existing Robot Framework tests.
Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA engineers to plan and execute testing activities.
Mentor junior QA engineers in automation design, testing methodology, and tool usage.
Write and maintain automated scripts in Python or Java (Python preferred).
Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing, including API validation.
Ensure continuous integration of automated tests in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git).
Report progress, test coverage, and quality risks to stakeholders.
requirements-expected :
4–8 years of QA experience with a focus on Windows desktop applications.
Strong experience in test automation (Robot Framework required, Selenium optional).
Proficiency in Python or Java, SQL, and CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins).
Solid understanding of QA processes, functional testing, and automation practices.
Experience in leading QA efforts and mentoring team members.
Ability to work with frameworks and code in a Windows environment.
Hardware or integration testing experience is a plus.
